BEVERLY D’ANGELO | 70

Beverly D’Angelo used to play one of the most well-known mothers on screen. She has demonstrated over the years that she’s an outstanding actress.

Her transition to film was a smash hit. Her debut appearance was in Annie Hall in 1977, but she got her big break in Coal Miner’s Daughter. In 1983, D’Angelo made her screen debut as Ellen Griswold in National Lampoon’s Vacation. That role would become one of her most well-known and one that she would reprise in five films over the next 30 years. She played the role again in National Lampoon’s European Vacation in 1985, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation in 1989, Vegas Vacation in 1997, and, most recently, Vacation in 2015. Although D’Angelo is already 70 years old, the next few years may be jam-packed with new credits. Who knows? She might even write a memoir one day.
